Emma Smith, 2012

Throughout the duration of Mistaken Presence Emma Smith will be exploring the history of song in Lincoln including political songs and religious hymns. Launching in May 2012 with “A Call for A Song”; a public notice board will be on display at Greyfriars calling for public contributions of local songs. Anyone involved in music locally or who knows of songs linked to Lincoln or themselves as residents of the city is invited to contribute their knowledge and examples to this notice board as a public display and to inform the research. The objective of working with local people is to develop a new song for the building which to perform later in 2012.
